Your Guide to Patient Resources

It’s that time of year again.  Applications for our Patient Aid program opened on January 2nd.
To date, we have received over 100 applications for assistance.  We would love to be able to provide financial assistance to all, unfortunately that may not happen due to budgetary constraints.

Patients requesting support often have the same questions. Here’s a list of organizations that we have found to be helpful:

If you have outstanding hospital debt, visit www.dollarfor.org

Dollar For is a national nonprofit that crushes medical bills by helping patients access charity care. We empower patients and advocate on their behalf.”

Do you have high prescription co-pays? Visit Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company.

“Cost Plus Drugs offers hundreds of common (and often lifesaving) medications at the lowest possible prices”. You can search by brand name, generic name, or by health condition. Several patients in our program have saved THOUSANDS of dollars by switching their prescriptions to Cost Plus Drugs.

Several pharmaceutical companies offer financial assistance programs for high deductible medications.  It is very important that patients request help from their care teams in locating these programs and applying for support.

Patient Resource

Patient Resource publishes a list of financial and pharmaceutical organizations that offer financial assistance to people affected by cancer. It’s a great list and it’s organized by the type of help the organizations provide.

broken NOT BROKE

Broken NOT BROKE is a user-friendly, searchable portal to help families whose household finances have been impacted by childhood cancer. The site offers quick access to information about more than 450 organizations offering financial support to families of pediatric cancer patients.

Needy Meds

One of the most common questions is support for dental care during and after treatment.  Needy Meds provides a searchable database of clinics that offer some type of financial assistance.

Visit our Resources page for more information on support for blood cancer patients.

CLRA provides this information for informational purposes.  We are not affiliated with any of the organizations and cannot guarantee that individuals will qualify for support.
